Well, we figured out why the insurance company was dragging their feet. They were waiting to receive our first payment. This is only slightly problematic because we sent in our first payment, um...well...like ten days ago.
Apparently this insurance company cannot receive online payments from clients that use firefox as their web browser. Nowhere on their website do they indicate this, they just assume that people will know. Right...
Therefore, they were waiting on us.
I'm not even kidding.
We went to Karl's online bank account statement and Chase processed the payment, the insurance company just couldn't accept it. That sound you hear in the background is me banging my head against my desk repeatedly.
We are supposed to know at some point today if everything went through. There is a chance that Karl wont be able to have the surgery on Friday if the necessary paperwork has not gone through their system.
I will keep y'all posted.
I literally cannot say thank you enough to everyone that has supported our family over these past few weeks. I'd like to think that I am a somewhat verbose person, but the generosity we have received from everyone has left me speechless.

Keith, what a frustrating potential roadblock for Karl and your family. I am praying for the paperwork to all be in place and ready to go for Karl's surgery Friday. Looking forward to the update!
ReplyDeleteps. even though you're definitely NOT verbose keith, i was thinking you'd find the word "logorrhea" to be one that you may use in the future. it's also fun to say...and look at.
